GamblingSoftware.com, a leading provider of instant-play Internet gaming software, announced the launch of three new games at the Global Interactive Gaming Summit in Montreal. The games are Multi-Player Pai-gow Poker, Spanish 21, and Pull-tabs.
GamblingSoftware.com’s Multi-player Pai-gow Poker is the first Java-based version of this popular game from Asia. Players from around the world will be able to enjoy the game simultaneously, without downloading software or waiting for a CD to arrive by mail. Multi-Player Pai-Gow is 현금바둑이GamblingSoftware.com’s first foray into multi-player games written in Java.
Spanish 21 — long popular in Spain and Latin America — is an exciting twist on the game of blackjack. It is similar to standard Blackjack except there are no 10 cards. Players also receive a progressive bonus when they are dealt three 7’s to make 21, or a natural Blackjack.
Pull-Tabs, which is a cross between slot machines and scratch-and-win tickets, is another first for the Java platform.
GamblingSoftware.com powers such casinos as World Wide Vegas, Alps Casino and Four Aces Casino. They were the first company to pioneer 100% Java technology for Internet gaming.
LV resort wins injunction against Internet casino
Aladdin Gaming LLC, the operator of the Aladdin hotel-casino under construction on the Las Vegas Strip, won an injunction to stop an online casino from using its name on an Internet website.
The order, issued April 25 by U.S. District Judge Johnnie Rawlinson, prohibits Bahamas-based Giordano Casinos and its owner Angelo Giordano from using the “Aladdin” name “in any domain names or on the Internet or on a webpage or in conjunction with or as the name of any Internet casino, pending trial in this matter.”
The order, which requires Aladdin to post a $3,000 bond, also prohibits the defendants’ use of the “Aladdin” name to advertise or promote gambling, casino or entertainment services.
Aladdin sought an order in U.S. District Court in November to strip the defendants of their site name “www.aladdingaming.com” after they allegedly refused to surrender the name without compensation.
Aladdin, which uses “aladdincasino.com” as its website, said the defendants’ “aladdingaming.com” site violated its trademark because it links the Aladdin name to “Worldbet.net,” an online casino.
Most Internet gambling, while widespread, is considered to be illegal in Nevada and other U.S. states.
